Privacy & Cookie Policy

Arikita respects your privacy. This page explains how the website uses cookies and how you can control them. Last updated: July 2026.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser to remember certain information between visits — for example your interface choice or reading state. They are not software and cannot harm your device.

Cookie categories

On your first visit you will see a cookie notice that lets you Accept all, Reject, or Customize by category. We group cookies into three categories:

  • Necessary (always on): required for the site to work — remembers Light/Dark mode, stores your cookie choice itself, counts anonymous views, and the standard WordPress cookies when you leave a comment. This category cannot be turned off.
  • Analytics (off by default): helps us understand how you use the site to improve content, in an anonymous and aggregated form. Only enabled when you allow it.
  • Marketing (off by default): used to personalize content and measure advertising. Arikita currently runs no third-party ads; this category is reserved for the future and is only enabled when you allow it.

Your choice is stored in this browser. We use Google Consent Mode: any analytics/marketing cookies are denied by default until you consent.

What we do NOT do

Arikita does not use cookies to sell data, does not track you across other websites, and does not collect sensitive information.

Change your choice anytime

Click the small round cookie button in the bottom-left corner of any page to reopen the preferences panel and adjust it. In addition, most browsers let you view, delete or block cookies under Settings → Privacy. Note: if you clear the data, choices such as Dark mode will reset to default.
